This kitchen had every hallmark of an outdated, hardworking space that had stopped working — orange-toned cabinets, black tile creeping up as backsplash, a small two-sided sink that couldn't keep up with family life. The redesign started with color: bold billiard green on the lower cabinets, crisp white above to stay bright through Portland winters. Warm-veined granite gives the look of butcher block without the upkeep; a white cast-iron apron sink nods to the home's 114-year farmhouse roots while dramatically improving function. Every material was chosen with intention — I didn't swing a hammer on this one, but this kitchen is entirely mine.
