The brief: turn a room that felt like an interrogation space into somewhere high schoolers would actually want to spend their Saturdays. I brightened the walls and created a stenciled pine-tree feature wall — mixing my own range of greens in real time when the original plan felt too heavy, so every grouping of trees is unique. The result adds warmth and visual interest without becoming a distraction for the ADHD students who use the space daily — because for this room, "beautiful" and "functional" had to be the same thing.
